Schüco^® skylight systems are divided into two main groups as self-supporting and steel reinforced systems.

• In steel reinforced skylight systems, on the main load bearing steel structure, a second frame is constructed using aluminum horizontal and vertical profiles. Glass of suitable dimensions is then installed in this second frame.
• In self-supporting systems, glass is mounted in aluminum profiles in horizontal and vertical planes without the need for a steel construction.

An impressive architectural structure can be achieved by making different material selection. Schüco^® steel and wooden upper constructions with heat insulation for skylights can be given as a good example for this.

Schüco^® skylight systems can be applied on buildings with wooden or steel load bearing structures with narrow lines. In this case, it is possible to have a very large selection of shapes and they can be applied in a very wide range. This constitutes the most impressive feature of the system.

Upper constructions can be combined excellently with Schüco^® roof wings; therefore they can be used ideally in glass roofs and winter gardens.

All upper constructions allow module formats in maximum dimensions and covering for large areas.
